You do not always want to deal with a belt and buttons. Vintage Industries Kaiden has an elastic waistband with a drawcord, so it goes on in seconds and fits precisely. The mini ripstop with a touch of elastane is light, flexible and dries fast. The regular fit keeps the shorts comfortable rather than sporty.
Ripstop that stops the tear
A reinforced yarn is woven into the fabric in a regular grid. When the material catches on something, the tear stops at the nearest grid line and goes no further. That is exactly why ripstop is used for field gear.
Stretch fabric
The elastane content gives the fabric a flexibility that follows movement — in a squat, on a rock scramble and during a full day of driving. The material does not bag out and keeps its shape after washing.
