In a freezing wind you need a jacket that is insulated and keeps water out at the same time. Vintage Industries Datton combines heavy satin with a 5,000 mm membrane and a dense sherpa lining. Rib-knit cuffs and hem close the jacket at the edges, so warmth stays inside even when walking into the wind.
Waterproofing and breathability
The water column handles the rain that catches you on the way from the car as well as on a full-day hike, and the breathability moves moisture outwards so you do not overheat under the layer. It is the combination you appreciate in transitional weather, when drizzle and sunshine alternate through the day.
Sherpa lining
The dense sherpa inside keeps warmth close to the body and gives the piece its characteristic volume. It is soft to the touch, warms up quickly and on a cold morning replaces another layer of clothing.
