The Fairview 55 combines a 40-litre main backpack with a detachable 15-litre daypack. The main backpack meets the carry-on requirements of most airlines – it fits into the overhead compartment, while the daypack serves as a personal item under the seat. This combination saves you checked baggage fees as well as waiting at the baggage carousel. On city trips, the daypack can be detached and used separately.

The panel zipper allows the main compartment to open wide, similar to a suitcase – no digging from the top or unpacking the entire contents just to reach one item at the bottom. A laptop organiser compartment and pockets for small items make this backpack a solution not only for outdoor use, but also for business trips.

Women’s fit and a well-designed carry system

The LightWire back system with AirScape® foam panel transfers the load from the shoulder straps to the hip belt, while the mesh panel helps prevent excessive back sweating. The shoulder straps and shaped hip belt are tailored to female anatomy – this is not just a smaller men’s version, but a differently shaped system with a shorter back panel and narrower straps. The entire carry system can be hidden under a cover, which you will appreciate when loading the backpack onto a bus, train or into a car boot.
