When working with ropes and knots on a boat, by the water or at the campsite, you will appreciate a knife that has a spike for splicing ropes as well as a blade. The MFH BW Navy sailor's pocket knife, modelled on the German Navy original, has a lockable marlinspike with a safety lock. Folding knife – not a switchblade. The large ring is for a lanyard.
A spike for rope work
The marlinspike, approx. 8 cm long, is used for splicing ropes, loosening tight knots and other rope work. It locks in the open position and the safety lock prevents it from closing accidentally.
