PolyCotton Stretch Ripstop is a durable fabric for intensive use

The combination of cotton and polyester provides breathability, fast drying and resistance to wear, while the addition of elastane adds the two-way stretch you need during dynamic movement in the city and in the field. The Ripstop weave reinforces the structure of the fabric. Any damage to the material therefore does not spread further, which increases the durability of the product.

Lighter construction, greater comfort

The Boonie Mk2 hat is a new take on the proven military boonie hat. Helikon-Tex kept the classic cut valued for years but refined the construction so that it better answers today's needs in the field. In the Mk2 model it reduced the number of material layers, so the hat weighs less and does not burden the head. This translates into greater comfort over long wear, especially on hot days.

The hat matches the uniform

Helikon-Tex produces all the elements of the hat in the same colours and camouflages as its tactical clothing. Thanks to this it fits better into the whole and does not stand out in the field. Uniformity of colour matters a great deal for concealment. The tapes around the hat are made so that they do not stand out, for example as a regular single-colour line against a camouflage background.

Mesh ventilation eyelets

They improve airflow and support ventilation of the head at high temperatures.

Fast-drying material

It helps keep you comfortable after contact with moisture and in changing field conditions.

Contrasting interior

It can be used to mark a position or a person in an emergency.

Attachment loop

It lets you clip the hat to the Raid uniform shirt, which makes carrying it and reaching it quickly easier.

Hook-and-loop for markings

On the top of the hat there is a dedicated hook-and-loop patch for attaching IR markers.

Functional loops

Darts placed around the head let you tuck grass, twigs or leaves into the hat for better concealment. They also hold small accessories, such as a clip-on flashlight.
