The high-performance tactical torch Fenix TK25 UV offers top-class light output of up to 1000 ANSI lumens of white light and additionally two UV LEDs with output of up to 3000 mW and a wavelength of 365 nm. Ultraviolet light allows, for example, rapid verification of the authenticity of documents, banknotes and payment cards. It also serves to check cleanliness or material quality, curing of UV adhesives or forensic analysis. Very solid and water-repellent design and dual-layer body construction makes this tactical torch suitable for demanding working conditions. The Fenix TK25 UV torch uses a dual tactical switch, which allows faster and more reliable operation in crisis situations. It can, for example, be easily switched directly into strobe mode. The torch is powered by digitally regulated constant current to ensure constant light output even as battery voltage decreases (during their gradual discharge). The Fenix TK25 UV has five white light modes with runtime of up to 110 hours and one ultraviolet light mode. Switching between white and ultraviolet light mode is very simple – just rotate the torch head by 90°. However, due to magnetic sensors in the torch head, it cannot be used with a magnetic weapon mount, which would interfere with its correct operation. All torch parameters (light output, battery runtime, water resistance, beam distance and impact resistance) are measured in accordance with the ANSI / NEMA FL 1-2009 standard.

Operation of the Fenix TK25 UV ultraviolet torch

• To switch on, press the larger button located at the end of the torch; for immediate activation, press the button gently.
• By pressing the side switch button, you can switch between power modes at any time during operation.
• To switch to flash mode when the torch is on, hold the switch button for approximately 1 second.
• To switch on the torch directly into strobe mode, press and hold the switch button.
• To switch between white and UV light modes, rotate the torch head by 90°.

Warning:

• Do not shine UV light into the eyes; there is a risk of damage.
• Intelligent overheat protection – if the torch temperature rises above 65 °C, it will automatically begin to reduce output in gradual steps of 5% every 30 seconds until its temperature stabilises. As soon as the torch temperature drops below 65 °C, the output will automatically increase again to the original level.
• Operation at the highest system output is therefore not limited by time, but only by temperature.
• Low battery warning – the torch will gradually automatically switch to the lowest mode and flash 3 times every five minutes.

Warning

• Use only quality 3V CR123A batteries and 18650 Li-ion batteries to prevent torch damage, for example due to battery leakage.
• Insert batteries with the positive pole facing the torch head.
• If the protective rubber O-rings appear damaged after prolonged use, replace them. The O-rings should also be lubricated to prevent rubber erosion.
• By following these rules, the torch will be properly protected against water.
• If the torch flashes, does not switch to higher power modes, or does not light up, it may be due to one of the following reasons: Batteries are almost discharged – replace them. Contacts inside the torch are dirty – clean them with a cotton bud soaked in alcohol. The head, body or rear of the torch are loose – tighten them.
