The C.A.M.P. brand story is a story of ice axe evolution. Antonio Codega forged the first one in his father's workshop in Premana in 1920, then Cassin, Lowe and Kukuczka entered the story and the result is that today some of the world's lightest ice axes are made in Premana. The Corsa Alpine is one of them. An ultralight aluminium head is carved by local blacksmiths to prevent the axe from slipping out of your hand. A durable steel head with laser-cut holes is then fitted to the shaft, which helped reduce the weight of the entire axe to 265 grams (length 55 cm). To put that in perspective, the weight of three Dyon Express ice axes .

However, if you do not want this Premana gem to accidentally disappear, for example in a glacier crevasse, you should get a strap. This one suits it beautifully.
